Sorry for the long delay between posts. I HAVE been knitting and have taken pics as proof!
First, I started this way back in February so it is my longest project ever.......the LULU sweater for my step-granddaughter, Louise. It's knit with Rowan denim yarn on 3.5 and 4.0 mm needles. (the real pattern is called the Hero Sweater). And for any one keeping track, the pattern requests larger needles but I had to shift down to get gauge.
I had every intention of paying someone to seam this baby up and then I just decided to take the first step and do a little bit and....well, I ended up doing all of it. I am unbelievably proud and have already shipped it off to England where I hope hope hope the lovely Louise will love it and enjoy it! (she is 2 going on 3 next spring and I'm praying it fits!)
And here's me doing my victory dance!
and heres just the sweater on its own....
and....here's a close up of the star:
I also finished a scarf that was a commission. It's a fan and feather scarf and I think it turned out quite pretty. The yarns are Alchemy and LLH Soft Kid which is a super soft mohair. I loved the combination of the two yarns and am planning a similar thing for my mother in law.
And as if that ain't enough......I did another 'shaz scarf' for a business friend.
I even did another 'shaz scarf' in black/lime green for the bamster. But alas, I have no photo of it yet.
T-DAY
Well, I'm off to Minnesota yet again tomorrow. My dad can no longer hold his head up and is really not doing well. So I'm going to hopefully cheer him up and just be my jolly self. My niece is in the Miss Minnesota pageant so I'm going to that as well. ha! One of my knitter friends said, "she is in a pageant and she is related to you?" Let's just say I'm a bit of a black sheep in my family. They're all pretty much still Minnesotans and I'm like totally a Californian dude.
But my point is........even though it's Thanksgiving......we plan to be selfish and spend it quietly at home together. Working on the zillions of things we love to work on....
That is my idea of great holiday!
So HAPPY T-DAY and I hope everyone gets a lot of knitting in this weekend.
All of your FOs look great! Hope all goes ok with your dad. Happy Thanksgiving!

The Lulu sweater looks so great - Aren't you so glad you seamed it up yourself! Beautiful job!
And the scarves are fantastic. What kind of yarns did you use for the shaz scarf?
Hope all is well in Minni. with your family.
