First, regarding my mom and dad....Thank you for the caring emails and notes. I am doing okay. My mom has been declining a bit more every week. Still has a good attitude but sleeps a lot now. The drugs are making her quite disoriented but that's to be expected.
I am focusing a LOT of energy on the book now. Go go go. Knit knit knit. Write write write.
Thanks to Karen at Needlework Unlimited, I am feeling much less....shall we say....sleeve challenged?
In book news.........I am soliciting comments from fellow visionaries of punk knitting!
As some of you already know.......I'm knee deep in a book called Punk Knits! The book has gotten to the point where your input is needed! If you're interested, here's what you can write about:
In a DIY/creative/artist sort of way, what makes knitting punk for you?
Why do you consider yourself a 'punk knitter'?
If you have any tips or suggestions on how to make your knitting more punk........feel free to write those up, too!
Deadline is August 20, 2005.
Please be sure to include your name, city and how long you've been knitting for!
Send to:
[email protected]
Much thanks!

Share,
I thought this might cheer you up. I saw this in today`s N.Y Post in Cindy Adam`s column who I personally can`t stand but thats another story.
An East Village reader wrote that she hopped the # 1 train at 14th St. one morning and this straight guy gets on. About 35, tubby in the middle, looking like a firefighter or cop, and he`s wearing a lime green golf shirt, cargo shorts, and new sneakers. He sits down and begins to knit. Two round needles, magenta yarn, while studying the instructions off a sheet on his big Mr. Clean lap. Talk about " Only in N.Y "....
