NOW THIS IS PUNK
I love this hat! This is one of the most punk ass knit creations I've ever seen! Love it love it love it! You can see more about them on myspace and if you're a member you can of course, add them. (add myspace.com/punkknits too while you're at it!)
knit-head.com is their website and you can see tons of awesome pics and order a hat for yourself (if you're a non-knitter)!!!!
My fave is definitely the British one........such a great twist on a classic style! Shagedelic baby!!!!!
ZIGGY PLAYED GUITAR
Okay, so maybe Ziggy the Kitty doesn't play guitar, but that's her name. (named after the infamous David Bowie character and song for you youngsters who don't know Ziggy and the Spiders from Mars) Ziggy and yes, it's a she. and yes, she is totally tamed now and actually yells at you if you stop petting her!!!!! She loves to be in your lap and this morning we woke up to find her out of her basket and in Bam's chair!!!!!!! He is her favorite (funny that!?!) and I think we've become cat people.
I am suffering a little bit allergy wise so we're off to petco again for some anti-dander wipes to see if that will help.
Worst case....we will have to give her away. "But I don't want tooooooooooo....." , said in a truly teenage whiny voice. But at least now she is not behaving AT ALL like the feral wild beast she was 3 days ago.
On that note...........happy 4th! Bang bang go the firecrackers. (and guns around here). meow meow goes Ziggy!
Maybe contact with an allergen can build up resistance? Isn't that the purpose behinde allergy shots?
And contact with a kitten, well, that's an instant mood elevator!

I have a bit of a cat allergy as well, but I've learned to live with cats. Most days, I have no symptoms.

I think it's okay that Ziggy is a girl -- wasn't Bowie in his androgynous phase right about that time? In that case, it seems rather apropos that Ziggy is female.
You might find that you get used to Ziggy's dander a bit. I grew up with a cat who never bothered me, but after I moved out of my parents' house, being around her used to give me nasty allergy symptoms for the first 24-48 hours back in her presence.
And thanks for the MySpace sites -- it's banned at work, so I'll check them out when I get home.

My sister has an allergy to cats, but she loves them just the same. Between her monthly allergy shots and her Siamese kitty (recommended by her allergy doc, as they don't shed quite so much) she's able to get by. Talk to your allergist or regular doc to see if there's anything else you can do. It would be awful to have to give the kitty away. :(
