It's so easy to bitch about things in life that I thought I would just have a list of the stuff I love!

I love my new Bare Escentuals makeup! OMG! How did I not know about this? oh yeah. I don't have tv. So I didn't see those infomercials until we were in a hotel for the Punk Knits tour. This stuff is great! I actually 'enjoy' putting on my makeup everyday now instead of dreading it. Wow.

I love the bird feeder that Bam built in our backyard. He just knocked it up one day in about an hour and we've been feeding the finches and sparrows ever since.

I love Liquid Worm Poo. This has to be the best food for your plants and tomatoes etc. Awesome stuff. Plus it's totally 'green' what with using old soda bottles. Good for the garden, good for the planet. Cool.

I love TED. I wanna be clever enough to speak there. Maybe on how knitting can change the world. One stitch at a time. For now, I'm content to watch the free mov's of the speakers. (hey, I know TED happened a while back...but I still love it.)

I love Macs. Yep. I'm one of those 'switchers'. I had a PC for years. Worked it to death too. Never had a virus and built a ton of websites with it. Now? OMG! Macs are like butter and PC's are like gravel. There's just no comparison. While we're on the subject....no, I did not get an iPhone. Yes I want one. But not so badly that I'll pay the penalty for switching carriers AND pay for the phone. Sheesh! They'll come down in price...just you wait. I'll be there when they do. For now...I'm living vicariously through my friends who have them. (and love them!!!!!)

I love Fifth Element. Why are there not more films like this? Luc Besson hit paydirt when he made that one. We were in Fry's the other day (big electronics store for those of you who are not techie types) and Fifth Element was playing on ONE enormous screen. OMG. Bam had to pull me away. I wanted to just sit down and watch it for the 99th time. Pretty funny considering he loves it as much as I do. I want those flying cars. I want the Gaulthier designed clothes. It's just great escapism.

I love being a raw foodist. It's been nearly a year and a half now. Wow! We just got our first amazing juicer. The Champion. We can just freeze bananas or strawberries now and pop them through with the 'blank' plate and voila! Ice cream! Notice how the raw thing led to the immediate discussion of sweets? Yeah. I'm a sweetaholic. The raw food sweets are awesome cuz I can eat as much as I want of them. In the meantime...of course, we've taken our passion and decided we had to share it with the world! We are launching a raw 'cooking' show...coming your way very very soon. (Hosted by Bam!)

Things I want to love:

• MBT Shoes - These are supposedly amazing. We talked to a guy on a film shoot who was wearing them and he said they totally work. I'm all for getting toned legs while I go for a walk. I mean...extra toned!
• Owning a house: yeah, I'd love to buy a house in Venice, CA. That's my dream. Will it happen? yes. Just not sure how or when...but it will.
• A hybrid car: This is just common sense isn't it? Ideally, I'd love one of those Toyota Highlander Hybrids. Yeah baby. Roominess with greenness. That works for me. Trips to Home Depot and the yarn store and throw the drums and amps in the back!
• A Vacation: We keep talking about taking one...but then we just keep working. We managed to go to the beach for one whole day but it was super windy. Outside of that, we've been workaholics.
• The new Harry Potter book: I admit it. I want it. I'll probably get it tomorrow if it isn't sold out. We just saw the new HP flick. I liked it. I know it's dark and some folks complained...but hey...it's summertime and it was hot outside....it totally worked for me!

Well, life has been full of surprises lately and I hope they keep coming. Oh...if any of you voted for us in that contest? We won! Thank you!!!!!!!!

How To Change the World In Three Easy Steps

We went and saw "An Inconvenient Truth" and while it's a great film and the message is excellent..........it left me wondering if I'm doing enough. I ended up stumbling around the net and reading my Plenty magazine in search of miracle cures for the planet.

1. Become a Freegan. This is extreme but easy if you're willing to go there. Wow! Okay. I'm a raw vegan and I thought THAT was extreme. But being a freegan? hmmmm....makes you realize how much waste we truly have in America. Confounds the brain, doesn't it?

2. Become Self-sufficient. Bam and I sincerely studied this site. It has a lot of interesting solutions and a very cool way of life. These folks are to be truly commended for a dedicated way of living that makes a statement, helps the planet and probably helps their souls! Wow!!!!

3. Sign every petition you can and buy those energy efficient bulbs whenever possible and turn off everything electrical in your house whenever you can and carpool when you can and and and and.............

You see......the thing is.........we got into a state of 'eco-anxiety' this week. At some point, I have to believe I'm doing what I can and the solution DOES start with a simple approach to taking small steps in our own lives. I can't really take on the whole world right now. With that in mind...........whew!

Let's knit!
I've finished the felted kitty bed but it needs one more wash cycle to shrink up a bit more. It's too hot to knit anything else but I've got Bam's sweater nearly done. Just a few inches away on the sleeve!

VIRTUAL REALITY
I joined Second Life to see what the heck it was. Must admit, after messing about for an afternoon.........I still don't 'get it'. It just seems like a great time waster and lord knows, I don't need another one of those. If I really wanted to waste time, I'd get a satellite dish so I could watch tv again!!!!!! Anyone care to explain the phenomena known as Second Life?

SPEAKING OF GLOBAL WARMING
It was so hot today in LA........I just couldn't get past brain fog. Way over 100. yuk. All I can say is.........let's work to stop global warming cuz this sucks and you can't knit when it's like this!!!!!

My back is finally getting better! After two surgeries in my youth, you'd think I'd know how to take care of it right? But I had slacked in my walking and that was lame of me! So I'm back to good health and thank you all for your wonderful emails/comments!

ALMOST DONE
I've only got one sleeve left on Bam's sweater. It's from a Rowan pattern book to give my brain a rest from the creating process and ya know what? I think it's gonna look okay. Kind of on the boring side...but hey, that's alright.

UNCOMMON
I'm committed to go on Uncommon Threads with the incomparable Myra Wood! We're filming it on August 7th and yours truly will have to brush up on her crochet skills (think hook challenged person here) but with Myra's unusual approach and freeform techniques....I'm sure I'll be fine and I'm very excited! I'll be involved in this project ...isn't it cool?

LOG CABIN
Speaking of Myra and freeform...one of the techniques in freeform knitting is log cabin knitting. You can see it used in the new Mason Dixie knitting book and I'm gonna make a couple of baby blankets using that technique for some upcoming babies and young infants in my life. It's all garter stitch and yet it keeps you interested! I love it! Plus one could go mad with a Mondrian style piece couldn't one? hmmmm...yes, one must find those primary colors and one must knit a Mondrian blanket for a special baby! (all spoken like Inspector Clouseau!)

POD PEOPLE
Our video podcast, Rock n Roll TV has signed up with the number one major podshow network, podshow.com. They're launching the network publicly in the next few weeks so that will be exciting to see what happens. So far, nothing much has changed for us but we're happy to be part of a family of shows like the Dawn and Drew show and Rock and Roll Geek and ...well, there is that possibility that we may even get to make a living out of it! Imagine that! Making a living doing something creative and fun!!!!! (not to mention I could get a lot more knitting done again!)

FRIDAY GOOF
Well, it's super duper hot here in LA yet again and we're gonna head out to the coolest place in town...the movies! Yep. I read the book and thought it was very funny so we're off to see The Devil Wears Prada.

Is anyone else happy it's November!  I love the fact that the weather is cooling (well, actually, it's hot in LA but I know it won't last).........it will be so much easier to knit! 

THE BOOK
Well, the good news is that I'm almost done putting together the various elements of the book.  But almost doesn't count does it!
The bad news.............the publication date is changed until Spring 2007.  Yowsa!  That's two more birthdays.  That's 2 more year calendars to buy.
That's my best friend's newborn baby will be a year and a half old!
Ha ha!
At first, I admit I was disappointed.  But that's because I am used to rock 'n roll where everything goes very fast and fades in and out of oblivion before you can blink.  Then I realized that they care about the book and want it to be of the quality that they always deliver.  It also means, I can back off trying to be a superwoman and get everything in my life done at once.  Dealing with my mom's death has definitely taken a toll on me and now........I feel a sort of relief that the pub date is moved.
Whew.

Bam and I have started talking about making the fourth album.  The itchy feeling is back!  I think once the book is officially 'turned in' .....we will begin seriously recording the next cd!  Hooray!

WISH LIST
I want these fonts!  Don't they rock?  Damn!  They're so cooooooooooooool.  For website design, house fonts are the bomb.

RIP
We saw New York Doll the day it came out.  Arthur Killer Kane.  It saddens me to even write about him.  Excellent film for one of rock 'n roll's legends who never got the kudos he deserved and the band never received the financial freedom they so rightfully deserved.  Great story....from raging alcoholic to mormon...........losing the dream to regaining the dream......all of this which is Kane's life, makes for a great movie.  The fact the Dolls were one of my alltime favorite bands EVER.........yeah, that has something to do with it.  But a great movie is a great movie and this one is GREAT.

Side note on NY Dolls..........in Punk Knits.......there is a long vest modeled by Texas Terri called the NEW YORK DOLLY! 

Rollercoaster

Well, I thought I was holding up pretty well.  But I fell apart today.  Yes, rivers of tears just flowing from my eyes like a dam had burst.  Sigh.  ah, well.

anyway, here's some thoughts n stuff on everything I can think of ...........

Baby Alert
Our best friends, Jo and Caroline had a baby yesterday!  Isabel was born on October 18, 2005 at 8:43 am ...the same day as Chuck Berry.  (Jo is an awesome guitarist)  So you know what that means?  Yes, I've been knitting baby booties.  Thing is.......the baby wasn't due until November 13!!!!!  But she is healthy and so is Caroline.  Whew!

Knitting Is Contagious
I mentioned that I'd taught Charlotte, Bam's daughter to knit.....here she is with her first scarf!

she hasn't stopped knitting and has made 2 more scarves...?  or is it three?  she is pawing thru my stash asking....do you need this? can i have that?  he he!  it is so funny and cool that she has the fever!

Day At The Beach

Designs on Knitting
Somebody emailed and asked me how I thought of designs.  It was funny how hard that was to answer.  How do you all get your designing ideas?  I get mine from necessity.  I want something a certain way and the only way to get that is to design and knit it myself.  I find experimenting with colors to be helpful and combining yarns is an awesome way to invent my own 'fabrics'.

Tomorrow
Is another day and I hope that it is better than today was.  I knew there would be rough days but damn, they are so bumpy.  I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster and it scares me to not be in control of this particular ride.  Thank you for all the encouraging comments and emails.  Rock on.....knit on.......and remember, we're all just learning to 'be'.

Me & Howard Hughes

This is not a complete non-sequitor..........this is a knitting blog.  I knit, I watch movies while I knit.....so....

Have you ever seen a film that just stays with you and you find yourself thinking about little aspects of it at the oddest moments?  That's what happened with "The Aviator", the Leo DeCaprio starring flick about Howard Hughes.  First of all, I have to admit my naivete when it comes to Mr. Hughes.  I had no clue that he had influenced commercial aviation to such a large degree.  The man was truly driven.

Lying in a hospital bed with injuries from crashing in to a Beverly Hills home on one of his test runs....he redesigned the hospital bed! 

I also found his "OCD" or for those of you not in the know........."Obsessive Compulsive Disorder" ....well, I found that very interesting and started using it as a verb.  Like......"Oh, I'm just OCD-ing right now".  I do realize it is a VERY serious problem and I'm not making light of it at all.  But I did find myself worrying......

• the fact that I HAVE to have the looroll aka bogroll aka toilet paper hung so that it rolls down and not up.........I mean, I will change this in people's homes and in public restaurants.  It bugs me that much.   I keep telling myself it's logical.  You don't want the roll to go the other way, it just isn't logical, right?

  

• the fact that if we're out in a restaurant and some sort of beverage is served with a cup and saucer (cappuccino perhaps?) I MUST be sure there is no 'mess' under the cup.  This prevents drips landing on my clothes, you see.  This of course, extends to everyone at my table.  I have been known to lift people's cups and put napkins on their saucers if I see a spill going on there.  I think of it, once again as preventive and simply logical.
• the fact that as soon as I return from the Blockbuster Video, I must wash my hands with warm water and soap.  I think that is just common sense.  I mean, all those hands touching all those videos and you can hear everyone sniffling and sneezing and see them wiping their noses in the shop.  Ewwww.....it just grosses me out!  Logical again, right?
• My only true anxiety comes from the simple act of driving over a bridge. 

• 

  Any long bridge...say longer than 2 blocks....and I start to sweat and panic.  The Richmond Bridge in San Francisco is sheer torture and terror for me.  All started when I crashed my 1970 Mustang on a hill in a blizzard in the Arizona mountains.  Me and an 18 wheeler.  He won.  But that's another story.  Point is.....I've got this bizarre anxiety/panic attack that happens when I'm driving over bridges.  Very unsettling.

So those are my particular 'eccentricities'.  I do not for one moment think I have OCD at all nor am I belittling it.  But seeing the film did make me think about those little quirks and I sort of understood how it could all get bent out of shape. 

Basically, I feel like I have various odd things in common with Howard Hughes............thanks to him, my mom has a comfortable hospital bed in her living room and I am getting on a commercial flight and flying non-stop above the turbulence ....to go and visit her. 

What would Howard have done with knitting needles and yarn?

The Stuff We Don't Talk About

It seems there are certain things one just doesn't talk about in polite society.........like.....
DEATH, SEX, MONEY...........those things!

Well, screw 'em.

Starting with DEATH............
It sucks that both of my parents are so near their last breaths.  It makes me think really weird thoughts.  Thoughts I never knew would enter my head.  Like really really wanting to own a home.  I seem to be in search of stability that I never looked for before.  Also, fears of being alone and lonely.  I've already gone over the not having kids thing.  Yeah, I'm gonna be a non-parent.  Well, I guess I AM a non-parent.  It is still a weird scary thought and process to accept. 

I'm flying back on Friday to help with my mom.  She is sleeping in a hospital bed in the living room now and somebody sleeps with her every night.  So I will join the team to make us three and we will rotate our sleeping duties.  It's scary to go back.  I want to run as far away as possible.  I want to go on the road with a band.  ANY BAND.  Just get away from responsibility.

And yet........didn't I just say I wanted to own a house?
Sheesh.
I suppose confusion is part of the 'process' of losing your parents. 
Sigh.

Let's move on to SEX
My wonderful niece used her discount priveleges to get me new bras from Victoria's Secret.  Sounds bizarre, I know....but hey, it was a great deal and ya know what?  Their bras are absolutely wonderful.  Having been on the 'tomboy' side of life for many years........I've recently discovered the advantages of wearing a long peasant skirt and having nice lingerie underneath my tough exterior.  I feel PAMPERED!  It's awesome. 

As for sex itself?  I only have my own take on things.........never go to bed mad with each other.  don't keep a tally of wrongs.  learn forgiveness.  don't use sex as a tool of power.  GET LAID with someone you love on a regular basis and your dreams will feel possible.

MONEY
Weird thing.  The greed for it IS indeed at the root of all evil.  But money itself is just a thing.  It is worth what we 'agree' it's worth.  Ohhhhh....the concept of it all.  It's crazy but I've been spending my time either knitting or reading finance books.  Trying to face my fears of that 'stuff' which is what I usually refer to it as.  That 'stuff' that other people deal with and other people understand but not me.  Well, that is changing.  Yes.  I have read, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" (interesting concepts...a little too hard sell...but got me going)..."Creating Wealth" (a lot more useful applicable action advice but not terribly useful in LA's real estate market....I mean....hello?  a house for under $200,000?  doesn't exist here.)....."Think and Grow Rich"....this book is verrrrry interesting.........written a long time ago with some very unusual concepts....closer to "what the bleep" than to most finance books...........and finally, my fave "Start Late and Finish Rich".  This one has hit home the most so far.  Also joined www.morningstar.com and have been reading the news and studying in their free classrooms. 

Does money go with knitting?
Well, it does if you want to buy yarn?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"All You Need Is Love".  True...........but you still have to get off your ass and make that love earn money somehow.  Money doesn't matter if you have it.  Money is so important when you don't have it.

That's my concept.
End of money part.

BATMAN
Saw the flick.  Loved it.  Had to change seats cuz some homeys walked in with their ho's and literally whispered LOUDLY NON-STOP.  Popped open their cans of Coors that they snuck in to the theater and everyone was terrified to say anything to them.  I think the whole theater sighed with relief when halfway through, they realized they were at a film not a bar and they actually LEFT!  So I kind of missed the first half due to desperately trying to ignore their comments and chatter and inappropriate laughter and snickering and burping.........etc.  In spite of all that...........this film was excellent.

KNIT
here is a WIP.......I can't really say what it is........but you KNOW I love black and pink.  It's actually two totally different things that were sitting on the couch together.   he he.

Did I mention that when I first started knitting I made her a scarf and everytime we went out...she would practically grab people and say, hey LOOK AT MY SCARF.  My daughter made this.  Yes, she did.  And point to me where I would stand glowing in her proud mama vibes.

Doncha love chaos?

Well.....my god!  I have not posted for ages!
Here is what I have done lately in the knitting part of my life......

This Naturwool made me buy it and knit a hat for one of the promoters in Japan.  The recepient is a cool chick named Sunny who just looks soooooo fabbo in pastels and actually seems like her name.  She is very sunny!

Knit on 10's with a 3/3 pattern.  I shoulda got the circulars as it doesn't look quite as good cuz of the seam.  grrrrrrrrrrr.  ah well.  that's just me bein' cheap isn't it! 

But I can't just give something to one promoter and not the pair of them cuz there's two of them!  The guy is Billy and is an amazing front man of his band called BC Butterfly.  Together him and Sunny run Booster Dragon.
So...........I was going to make him fingerless gloves cuz he wears sooooo many silver rings...but I don't think I'll have time.  So I think I'll give him this very mad scarf ....the Fringed Artiste Scarf!

But since we're on the subject of fingerless gloves.......I have been knitting a few pairs out of various yarns.....here is the latest one from Merino Frappe (made by Crystal Palace). 

Okay!  Whew!  Now my big concern is whether or not I can knit on that 11 hour flight to Japan on Korean Airlines.  I've heard varying things and have yet to actually phone the airline.  I may have to be super organized and carry a self-addressed stamped padded envelope in case they take my stuff off of me.  grrr.  Makes me feel so criminal.  For cryin' out loud!  You could turn a PEN into a weapon.  I just wanna knit on the plane!!!!  ha! 

And to be prepared for Japan, I ordered some makeup online from Strawberrynet.com.  They ship it to look like a present!  Isn't it cute??????????

And do ya notice that shiny wood surface under the makeup????????  Well, it may be a normal thing to most folks.....but in Bam n Share's lives.........this is our first table.  Yep, we've been balancing plates on our laps for 8 years now.  No indoor dining table due to too many hobbies, crafts, arts, computers, instruments etc etc etc .  It's not like we never had the room but once you put in all of the supplies of the bazillions of junk we do.........well, it's never worked.  This time, Bam called me from Ikea and said,..."I HAVE A TABLE.........CLEAR THE DECKS!"  And here she is...............isn't she lovely?

Oh........backing up to the makeup part........
I ordered that stuff before I signed up to sell this stuff.  Hey, it comes in a pink box!  How could I refuse?  And their lip liners and eye liners........oh...and the color 101 sets rule.   Yeah, I'm in to glammy crap....ha! 

so if you need anything..........!  ha!!!!

FAMILY

My dad is waaaaaaay under weight and just still going downhill.  I have to go back there again but just can't think about it what with the band going to Japan.  My mom is holding up okay under the strain and even went and played piano on Valentine's Day to cheer everyone up. (She did that for Xmas too.) 

Bam's dad is in the hospital with pneumonia.  Yep.  The big family wedding down here wiped him out and Bam's mum too.  yikes.  I guess he is doing a little better.  We sent up some Dan Brown paperbacks and he is reading them like a maniac!  Hopefully that will take his mind off being in the stinky hospital.  (hate those places.)

LIFE

I just built this site:  Show the Love.  Check it out...........she is giving her profits to charity.  Very nice stuff!

Well...........my brain is racing at a million miles an hour right now.  Thanks for puttin up with my negligent posting!

Madness and Mayhem

First off, thank you to all who have emailed/commented about the BAM13 Sweater in the new SnB Nation book!  I am sooooooo thrilled and excited and still really cannot believe it is in there.  When the first SnB came out it simply never left my side.  I read every word of every page and went to every single person's website/blog and checked them out.  I never in a million years imagined that I would have a pattern in her sequel.  Amazing.

What is even funnier, I remember reading through some of the bios and noticing the pattern was the first pattern for this person.  I distinctly recall getting very annoyed with those people.  ha! 

Well, if it wasn't for Deb's pushing me to get the Bam sweater done, maybe I never would've ventured into this designing arena.  It's crazy and I love it.  So thank you Deb for the chance and the encouragement!  wow!

AND THE WINNER IS....
Well, my niece didn't win Miss Minnesota.  She did have a very fun weekend and I think it was good for her.  Me personally?  I struggled with my feelings of hating the whole thing while I was there and wishing I was doing something else and kept reminding myself that I was there for her.  There was a very genuine moment in the midst of it all that brought it home for me...

They read a letter written from a mother to one of the daughters.  Explaining how the mom felt like an ordinary woman and wondering why she had survived ovarian cancer and why she was on the planet at all.  She went on in her letter to state that seeing her daughter up there made everything worth while and she was proud of her no matter what.  No matter if she won or didn't win. 

The two women received a standing ovation and there was nary a dry eye in the house.   (the daughter didn't win or make the finals but I think she had the biggest prize with her mother's love)

The negatives:

• The whole thing was too long.
• It puts women on some sort of weird place where we all sit and judge their bodies and smiles.  ick.  (or is that just me being negative?)
• It was tooooooooooo long.  Really too long.
• the music sucked ass.
• It wasn't appropriate (and it was too dark) to knit in public.

The positives:

• We got to sit in the front row cuz my niece's best friend's mom was a chaperone for the pageant and they didn't want empty seats at the front.
• My niece didn't bawl or sob when she wasn't picked as a finalist.
• My niece enjoyed herself and seems really happy that she did it.
• It's over.

For any of you keeping score at home, the winner in Miss Minnesota is Carrie Lee.  The Miss Teen Minnesota is Lauren Hindi. 

Interesting fact: All of the 15 semi-finalists in the Miss pageant were in the pageant at least one time before.  Many of them were 'professional' pageant chicks.  Weird, eh?

DAD STUFF
Well, I am here in Minnesota again to visit my dad in the home.  He can no longer hold his head up.  It's so hard to see him like this and I just keep trying to be cheery around him.  He loves all the knitting news and just guffaws every time I talk about knitting. 

PASSING ON THE TORCH
So last year, I taught the same niece, Kat to knit.  This year she taught her best friend, Mara to knit.  We were all sitting around after the big pageant event and  Mara asks Kat..."Can you show me how to cast off my scarf?"

Kat obliged right away and Mara was so excited.  She finished the doubled stranded scarf she'd made.  Her very first knit project!  After I showed her how to weave the ends, she put on her gorgeous new scarf and announced, "I can't believe I made this!  I don't make things!!!!"

That is what knitting is all about.

BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE
It's freezing here and I'm eager to get back home.  But it's been a nice visit.  I leave on Thursday.  I did manage to make my way to Needlework Unlimited today and met the owner, Karen and the webmistress, Julie.  The store is ENORMOUS and I could've spent hours in there.  If you need yarn in Minneapolis, man oh man, they have it.  And buttons.  And books.  And pretty much anything you can think of.  Very nice people.  Very nice store.

I did end up getting some Koigu Kersti Merino in a black/gray/brown variegated colorway.  (I'm thinkin....fingerless gloves maybe.)

I also had to have some Adrienne Vittadini Nadia yarn in 808 sort of a bluish heather colorway.  This one...I'm thinkin......some sort of vesty thingy to go with jeans maybe.  I'm not sure.  But I had to have it.

you know what I mean.
C'mon. 
Fellow addicts......help me out here.

Back in Smogville

The DAD news
Well, my dad is back in the residents home. He is stable again and has his good days and his bad days. After speaking with my mom, it's comforting to know that all of the other residents and nurses welcomed him back with great big hellos and hugs and how much they missed him. He's a pretty funny guy when he's not in agonizing pain so it's nice to know they appreciate his sense of dry humor.

AMOEBA
Remember a post a few months back when I was all pissed off at Amoeba? Well, they took our cd and apparently they listened to it cuz they contacted us and now we're going to be their featured "Homegrown Artist" on November 17th. So if you live in LA, go to the shop and check us out and please buy our cd there! :-)

ZZZZZZZZZ FILM
We went and say "I 'heart' Huckabees". OMDG! I fell totally sound asleep twice! So did Bam! This is more of an idea than a film. I highly recommend it for a lovely afternoon nap. I thought with all those superb actors in it this must be a fantastic script and story. Alas. Very meandering and .......well, not very good.

AROUND THE HOUSE
But I tell ya, sometimes, a nap in the theater is as good as it gets. We still have the evil homeowners next door who knocked down their condemned shacks and are building a new house. The issue I have with them,.........they work 7 as in SEVEN days a week. Starting at 7:30 am and generally going until 7 or 8 pm. After a while, ya get a little loopy. Not to mention, the edge of their new house is literally, 4 inches from the edge of our garage which doubles as Bam's office/recording studio. So he sits in there with the banging right on him. It's enough to make an ex-smoker start smoking again.
But, .........he is at 16 days without a cigarette today!

NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS

That's what I should call this scarf cuz it's like a pastel version of the Sex Pistols colors! (who I adore!!)
Thanks to my Secret Pal..........I used the yarns she sent me to start this scarf on the airplane ride home from Minnesota. I think it's turning out uber cool and I can't wait to wear it with something pink/green. It's making me want to find neon pink/neon green and design a very loud, very obnoxious sweater!!!!

MORE KNIT
I swear, all I do is work these days. Well, that and watch movies. (I have to have ONE addiction, right?) But I did finish the Lulu sleeve and am gonna put that together. It still involves more knitting...have to pick up the collar yada yada yada. But that should be fast. I have so many projects on the go.......a second Janis Tank in Pink/Black. But ....well, it seems there is a strong publication possibility so now I cannot post piccies of all my knitting designs. (this is weird to me)
Anyway, here's a pic of a scarf I did last year out of the Vogue knitting magazine. It's still a fave around the house and we have to decide who gets to wear it! ha ha!

SITE MANIA
Lately, I've got more sites that need building and just not enough time to build them. I guess I'm a slow website designer cuz man, oh, man. I just have a tough time.
